How was the blockade against Iraq look like?

It might be a strange question but the reality is that not so many people knows exactly what is the blockade and how much destructive it was and why it was imposed from the first time.
In 1990 when Iraq invaded Kuwait the American were very much happy that they will be able to destroy Iraq’s infrastructure specially after Saddam’s announcement that he posses Anthrax a chemical weapon that no way can America tolerate its possession by some revolutionary character like Saddam. He threatened to use it against Israel in case Israel attacks him. And here where the beginning was.

The US decided to impose the blockade against Saddam until he withdraw from Kuwait and when he did withdraw from Kuwait they said well it is not enough to lift the sanctions you have to dismantle your chemical weapons, so he agreed and cooperated with the UN inspectors teams and he delivered all what he once possessed of chemical weapons. Every time they say to him it is not enough you are lying on as. Until he decided to stop cooperating owing to the dirty game that he discovered so late that they were dismantling him in order to invade him and occupy Iraq. It was too late. And I am sure he said to him self I wish I did not listen to them and I wish I did not allow dismantling the Anthrax program.

During the blockade the American and its allies played a very dirty game when they did not care about the millions of mortalities among children and I was asking myself does the children only the type of creature the world really care about? What about women and old people and even young women and men are they not worth mercy? The blockade was a farce in all scales let me tell you, I lived every minute of the blockade and it was really like hell.

The Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq (CASI) aimed to raise awareness of the effects of sanctions on Iraq, and campaigned on humanitarian grounds for the lifting of non-military sanctions.

"if the substantial reduction in child mortality throughout Iraq during the
1980s had continued through the 1990s, there would have been half a million
fewer deaths of children under-five in the country as a whole during the eight
year period 1991 to 1998" Unicef, 12 August 1999.

"We are in the process of destroying an entire society. It is as simple and
terrifying as that. It is illegal and immoral." Denis Halliday, after
resigning as first UN Assistant Secretary General and Humanitarian Coordinator
in Iraq, The Independent, 15 October 1998

I want to say a word on behalf of the Iraqi people, “we will never forget how harsh and unfair the blockade was and Madlin Olbright the former foreign secretary of state said that the killing of those people worth it, well of course you say that because you are people without any moral values because your love to Israel turned you into blind people that you can justify any crime under the slogan “anti semitic”. Simply I say the blockade was a genocide that no one in the world cared about, it is as harsh and devastating as the Holocaust. We will never forget.”

The difference between resistance and terrorism:

The Bush administration is in a position that is really bad, the resistance is growing inside Iraq through militarily and peacefully and outside Iraq and especially in the US owing to the number of coffins arriving to the US mainland. Bush as he always do never listen to the sound of wisdom and as he always try to justify his decision to wage the war against Iraq he is now trying to defend his policies that dragged the American army into the Iraqi marsh.

As an Iraqi and an observer I know exactly what will the next few months bring to the Iraqis and to the American army. It will not bring but ciaos to Iraq and more destruction to the infrastructure and more and more lives will be harvested by the violence that no one to be blame for except Bush and the American administration because they wanted it from the beginning like this.

Their decisions were clear and their ways were foolish. The few next months will bring also more coffins to the US mainland. Hundreds of Iraqi and American mothers will be sitting weeping for their sons, unfortunately.

The Bush administration brought tears and agony to thousands of families inside the US and outside the US and all what they want is to give more contracts and money to the American companies that supported Bush in the election and in the war.

The percentage of al Qaeda fighters out of the Iraqi resistance against the Americans army are 5% as all the international media reports admits. So if al Qaeda is to withdraw from the Iraq conflict nothing will be influenced because the real resistance is Iraqi men fighting for their pride and honour that the American soldiers tried to take it from them in Iraq as whole and specially in Abu Ghraib. So the resistance will not discuss with the Americans any issue but the issue of the time schedule of their withdrawal from Iraq.

I tell the American and specially Bush that all what you are doing will not get to an end except to reinstate Sultan Hashim in his place as the leader and commander in chief of the Iraqi Army forces. I had discussed why Sultan Hashim and not someone else. I do say what is good for the whole peace process in Iraq.

The suffering of the Iraqis

The suffering of the Iraqi people is of several dimensions. Before the war the Iraqis were under two hammers, the blockade and Saddam. You might not know what is the blockade? Ok I can give you an idea about it. The blockade simply turned every Iraqi from a rich person into a poor person, the average salary was 500$ and it becomes 3$ a month! Can you imagine the difference? I saw people eating each other because of a bunch of dollars, it was hell. And Saddam as a dictator was controlling the Iraqis the way he thinks is suitable. The Americans did not want to change the situation because they refused allow any military coup and this is the truth, no one was allowed to topple Saddam. When dr. Raggi tried to do that the Americans delivered the names of the coup participants to Saddam well of course he executed them all.
I think this is the bad luck of the Iraqis because I am unable to find an answer to what was happening in Iraq. There were no electricity, no clean water, no infra structure because the Americans destroyed it all in 1991 alleging that Saddam might get benefit from! Even the water treatment plants they destroyed it. They even refused any material that involve in the treatment process, and I am as an environmental engineer discovered a very devastating faults in the water treatment plats. When I was saying that there is some danger the authority used to say to me keep your mouth shut, it’s non of your business. But I was telling people whom I meet to be careful with water. The depleted uranium weapons that the Americans used during the second gulf war also was a big problem because its side effect is still harvesting lives in Iraq until now 2006.
The daily routine of the Iraqis is death, agony and distruction nothing more and nothing less. The Americans as they always are not on their way to resolve the ordeal; all what Bush does care about is how many contracts he gives to the companies that helped him is this war. It is obvious that this dilemma will continue until the end of Bush’s term in office because I do not believe his successor will be as fool as he is. Woe be on the criminals and those who walk in their way.

We cried and we will still crying but we will not ask anyone except Allah the one who created this earth to find us a solution. He is the only merciful in this world.

I really don’t know how Bush is justifying this war. Is he really digesting the lies he keep telling the American people. Or is he saying to himself I wished that I had done anything except attacking Iraq.

Who gave weapons to Saddam

This is a very nice picture of Ramsfield with Saddam. It shows them during the Iraq-Iran war in the eighties. This picture is something Ramsfield wish to forget about trying to conceal the chemical weapons deals that the American administration facilitated to Saddam. During the eighties Saddam was a very close friend to the US but when he came out of the first Gulf war with a strong army that pose a threat to Israel they decided eliminate him and make an example out of him to the other Arabs leaders.

The truth about Iraq

The real number of American casualties is unknown. They keep trying to publish numbers of killed and wounded soldiers but no one believes those figures. When I was in Iraq I used to hear the sounds of bombs every few minutes and the Iraqis are keeping saying if the American are not paying so many casualties then what about those explosions that we keep hearing them!!

Everybody knows that the Americans want a puppet government. It’s their ways to deal with the world. Like when they toppled a democratically elected president in Chile without shaming from themselves.

Well, president Bush let me put it so clear, Iraq is not Germany or Japan, Iraq is an Arab and a Muslim land and that what it makes it very difficult that fierce fighting with the Iraqi resistance made you people forgetting all about ethics of war and you are using sick ways like raping women and children or even men and if it become so bad in the battle field thanks to the nuclear weapons that you are using to end the fighting in one push on the red button!! Don’t you ashamed of yourselves, don’t you ashamed!! What war you are winning this is no winning this is a farce. And what you are doing is following every road that is leading to a dead end. Are you blind?

I don’t care about your mistakes but I do care about the innocent lives that you are spoiling plus the deliver of my country to al Qaeda extremists. I may call my self a true believer in Islam and I deny al Qaeda's visions about Islam. I don’t blame them but I blame you Bush only you, you gave Iraq to al Qaeda. Are you happy now!!??

Abu Ghraib crimes against Iraqis

To those who doesn’t know what this picture is I may say that this picture dated to the Second World War when the Americans attacked Japan and they made a very important victory on one of the Japanese Islands. Well but this picture is manipulated little bit but unfortunately this is the truth of the American democracy in Iraq.
This picture makes an irony out of the American soldiers’ crimes in Abu Ghraib prison. One day Allah will punish the criminals I am sure about that.
It happened several times that I drive by an American convoy and when I become very close to them they pull their weapons suddenly like they were waiting to kill an innocent person. Thanks to Allah that I escaped death which I was very close to.
Despite I was a United Nations employee knowing that I am Iraqi also so they did not know that they are messing with an international worker. My Motorola radio was on my finger tips and my badge was in my pocket and every few days we used to see an American official and one day when the American soldiers pulls their weapons against me I was really angry and I decided to go to the higher ranked officer who was in charge of that convoy but something pulled me back when I said to my self those guys pay respect to nothing in this world it is foolish of me to go and complain. They just kill civilian people coldly blooded and say sorry, just sorryyyyyyyyyy, BASTARDS.

They say that the Americans attack any country that doesn’t have Macdonald Hamburger. I heard an American soldier saying that to a TV reporter. It is not true that the American do that for Macdonald because the game of war is bigger than that poor soldier thought. The war is being waged by the weapon and oil curtail. This is the only truth.

Planning to distroy Iraq and the solution

If everyone take a look at the sequence of episodes after Saddam took over in Iraq one will find strange things like in the first Saddam tried to launch a construction plan but the Al-Hakim family supported by Iran tried to undermined this plan and they began to bomb all the economical and strategical centers in Iraq.
The forign companies drawn back all it's equipments and personnel in order not to get them killed in Iraq and that was exactly the plan.
The American looked cautiously to the conflict between Iraq and Iran and they wished to distroy both countries without harming any one considered on their side.
They succeded in doing this and Saddam was draged to a war of no use to Iraq and billions of dollars were poured to that stupid war.
Eventhough the war effects were devestating but still Saddam managed to build a strong arm industry that put the American and Isreal in a dought position. I do not believe the idea that he was a puppet in their hands. He might have used them to get to power but his plans were completey different. from what they want.
I think at that point they decided to distroy Iraq and make it an example to the Arabs and to any leader who wants to develop an industry that might his country benifited from.
After the end of Iran-Iraq war the Americans found themselfs infront of a gient power in the middle east that they can not tolerate so they pushed upon the Kuwaties to tease Saddam and they told Saddam we will not interfere if a war to be raged between Iraq and Kuwait. Saddam was fool enough to eat the bait and they succeded to distroy the ifrastructure of Iraq completely.
After the Kuwait war the American said we must continue the blockade and we can not lift the sanctions now. They decided to kill the 17 million Iraqi living on that land.
During the blockade I saw people eating each other, the father kill his own son, the mother deny her child, relatives killing each other for heritage and for money, it was hell, real hell and no one wanted to listen to the Iraqis suffering. The international community kept it's ear shot for 13 years!!!
I myself hated life and I hated the silence that did not care about the millions of Iraqis living on 3 dollars a month knowing that before the blockade Iraqis used to live on 500 dollars a month because Iraq is a rich land.
During that time we hated Saddam all the Iraqi people hated Saddam because we considered him a fool that did not know how to deal with the Americans. But! But! In 1994 general doctor Raggi al Tikriti a well known doctor decided to make a coup against Saddam and being that Dr. Raggi is Saddam's personal doctor so it is easy to inject Saddam with a poisen that would ends the suffering of the Iraqi people. That happend during the Klinton time. The Americans decided to deliver the names of Dr. Raggi and his friends to Saddam in order to stop that coup attempt agains Saddam. But why? Can someone tell me why they did that!!! Saddam gave dr. Raggi to the hungry dogs and he fed him to them so easy. I do not blame Saddam but I blame the Americans!!!!!!
The Americans who always try to wear the clothes of a lamb but they are nothing but wolves. They decided that no one will be Iraq's president unless he is a puppet working for them. And that how they decide to occupy Iraq. It was not the sounds that Bush hear telling him to occupy Iraq or Blair's voices either. It was a plan both of them followed in order not to get killed like Kinnedy when he decided not to rage a war agains Kuba, well I myself not so happy with Kastro but it is not en excuse to kill the president!!!
Now the Americans occupied Iraq and they were fools because they thoughts Iraq is like Japan and Germany when both decided to accept what America is saying to them.
Iraq is a muslim country and an Arab country and that means they will not give up until a real blood is being shed on the sand of Iraq. And certainly that will cost the US a lot of lives and resourses.
I call upon the US to do one thing if they want to resolve the conflict in Iraq. Reinstate General Sultan Hashim. I am not saying that you reinstate dictatorship but you can use a nationalist figures to accoplish a compromise solution. You may forget about vectory in Iraq, because it far from reach and that's what you did not read before your invasion to Iraq.
Sultan is a figure that enjoy respect from the original Iraqi army not the bunch of criminals that you made out of the poors and savages who are living in slums. What you are bringing is not a police force or an army, no, they are bunch of criminals that are raging a genocide among the Sunnis in order to finish the resistance. I disagree with al Qaeda because the have no ethics in their war agains you guys and in real islam one must be ethical even in war and that's why al Qaeda is not representing Islam, no way. But from the other side you guys are using the same unethical ways in your war agains them and against the resistance in Iraq.
You might keep crackdown against the resistance by raping their wifes and mothers but you will loose in the end.
I do not want Iraq to fall under the hands of people who wants to practice Islam like Talaban movement. But I want stability to return back to Iraq.
The only way to install stability in Iraq is via withdrwing from at least the Sunnis areas and reinstate General Sultan Hashem and allow him to form the Iraqi army again from scratch. You may be sure he will pose no threat against his neighbors because he is wiser than Saddam. But the most important is that can withdraw your troops in s short time after that from the Kurds and the Shia's areas.
I strongly believe that you guys in a deep shit, and that's why I am presenting my advice to you and because I know Sultan Hashim is an enemy of al Qaeda and I do not want al Qaeda to use Iraq as their arena to rage their foolish war against the US.
I want peace and stability and respect of international treaties to return to my country and I think you will find any thing you do without using my vision is futile.

To be continued ..

Addressing the Iraq issue

Hi,
I am an Iraqi citizen living in Europe and I will begin speaking to the world through my blog to show them and to tell them the truth of what is going on in Iraq.
I am very sad of what going on and I am sure the whole world is sad too but I think my friends we can do something to change the situation by telling the truth and addressing the right people out there and we are sure they will listen one day.
It must not be like that anymore, I must say my words about the conflict in Iraq.

Have a good day pals..
